Once you have your ASUS hub out of the box, the first thing you need to do is erect the antenna located on the back of your device.
These want to be pointing up to ensure the best WiFi signal possible.
Let's get your hub connected to our network. We need to establish what openreach socket you have in your home. If your socket has only has one port then we will need to use the microfilter provided.
If you do need to use the microfilter, plug the broadband (DSL) cable provided, from the Hub's DSL port (Coloured Grey) into the provided microfilter. You then need to plug your microfilter directly into your openreach socket.
If you have two ports on your openreach socket, you can plug the provided broadband (DSL) cable directly from your Hub's DSL port (Coloured Grey) into the Openreach socket.
Helpful Hint: Your Openreach socket is the main socket where the phone line enters your home, usually this is found in the hallway near the front door. If you are struggling to find it or have more than one socket, have a look outside your property for any wires entering your home, then look for a white box on the wall inside.
Now that you are wired into our network, let's power up your ASUS Hub. Simply plug the supplied power cable directly from your Hub into a socket within your home and switch on that socket.
After a few seconds, your Hub's power light should light up, this indicates your device has power.
Helpful Hint: If after turning on your socket, no lights appear, check that the Hub’s On/Off button (positioned on the back) is pressed in to the "On" position.
That's it, your hub will need a few minutes to start up and configure your connection with us, then you will be able to connect your devices and start to use your Origin service. Whilst you wait, find a convenient place to set your hub.

Your hub will have completed its configuration once the broadband (globe) light is either solid or flashing green. You will now be able to connect to the WiFi.
