Non-emergency 101 call charge update

In the current challenging circumstances keeping our customers and community safe is our number one priority.

Origin Broadband is supporting The Home Office by making all calls to the non-emergency 101 police service free of charge for consumers from 1 April 2020. It is hoped this move will help the authorities to manage the impact on the critical 999 services.

It is important to use 101 as many Police stations are having to close their doors to walk-in traffic because of Covid-19. The 101 is now a free to use Single Non-Emergency Number.

We also want to assure you that everyone at Origin Broadband is busy working behind the scenes to ensure your broadband service is as resilient as possible. We continue to undertake upgrades across the network to cope with the additional demand through the lockdown period.

If you have any questions about your broadband service, we would encourage you to visit our website in the first instance to answer any questions you may have. We have also expanded our live chat facility to provide a quick and efficient way to resolve most issues.

From everyone at Origin Broadband, stay safe and be let’s all be kind to each other.
